In recognition of his significant contribution particularly in the development of techniques that has allowed coconut farmers to incorporate new pest management technology into traditional farmers’ practices and ecological methods for adult and larva populations of the rhinoceros beetle. These works have contributed to the knowledge of the ecology of the coconut palm’s most important pest in the country. These studies have led to the understanding of the mechanism of beetle outbreaks and the development of practical and effective pest control measures against the rhinoceros beetle.
