In recognition of his researches in economics, Dr. Canlas’ study on marital fertility and labor participation of women find significance in the design of policies aimed at slowing down population growth rates in less developed countries. Another study empirically explored the ability of fiscal and monetary authorities to stabilize the economy and provided some insights on how macroeconomics policies should be conducted to help achieve the economy’s full employment and balance-of-payment objectives.
