For her pioneering researches on endosperm culture to obtain seedless calamansi, new method of cassava propagation, formulation of a new tissue culture medium, tissue culture of rattan, bamboo, ramie and pummel and Agrobacterium rhizogenes, to improve rooting of apple shoots for her successful collaborative studies on tissue culture of banana and potato. The cassava technique has been adapted and disseminated worldwide by The Centro International de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT) Columbia; the new medium is now used routinely for rattan, orchids and other species; and endosperm culture to obtain seedlessness which she first co-theorized in 1975 has been proven successful by other workers with other fruits.
