Citation:In recognition of his outstanding contributions to coral reef studies especially on fish larval connectivity in marine reserve networks in the Bohol Sea and in other areas of the Philippines, which have significant impacts on food security in the face of marine resource overexploitation. His peer reviewed research articles published in international journals have been extensively referred to and cited by many authors, indicating the importance of these papers in coral reef and reef fish research and conservation, not only in the Philippines but also in other places in the world.
