In recognition of his outstanding works geared towards enhancing our knowledge on how plants, animals and microorganisms function and interact with each other and the environment. His studies focused on creating an understanding that is essential in the management and conservation of our ecosystems. His studies aim to assess diversities and the response of these organisms to the threats that continue to affect the environment. Biomonitoring the genotoxic effects of persistent toxicants, accumulation of metals in organisms and evaluating the impact of climate change, urbanization and anthropogenic activities like mining are of primary concern in finding remedies for contaminated sites. Results of his works have been published in ISI and international refereed journals and are cited by researchers worldwide. His studies are important as it ensures food safety, ecosystem health and public health, which is everyone’s concern and goal.
