In recognition of her scientific contributions in the field of disaster risk analysis, for sale particularly, patient the development and application of economic modeling frameworks to assess direct and indirect socioeconomic impacts of disruptive natural events. Given the prevalence of disasters in the Philippines, her works have significant applications for evidence-based policy support and provide a rationale framework for disaster risk mitigation planning. She has also ensured that science-based impact assessment tools she has developed are accessible to policy-makers and stakeholders by developing a web-based platform and by delivering training modules.
